- In this farewell article published in the December 18, 1959 edition of the Giulford College student newspaper, The Guilfordian, Korean student Kyung Kim bids the Guilford community goodbye. Kim, a former pilot for the South Korean Air Force during the Korean War, had come to Guilford with the goal of learning English and her presence had a marked impact on the diversity of the student body.
