- In this November 5, 1979, article from the Greensboro Daily News, staff writer Jack Scism reports that two additional Ku Klux Klan (KKK) or Nazi party members had been arrested in connection with the November 3, 1979, shootings in Greensboro in which five members of the Communist Workers Party (CWP) were killed at a Death to the Klan rally. The article states that all those arrested for murder had been associated with the KKK or Nazi party. Several of the victims had been employed by Cone Mills. CWP spokesman Mike Young said that there would be a funeral demonstration and that CWP members in attendance would be armed.
