- Description:
- This May 15, 1982 letter from Lewis Pitts and Gayle Korotkin to Charles Davis proposed that representatives of the Greensboro Concerned Citizen's group attempt to inspect the records of past grand juries empaneled in Greensboro in terms of racial composition. Upon noticing the racial imbalance of the grand jury seated for the federal district court hearing on the murder of five Communist Workers Party members in Greensboro on November 3, 1979, Pitts wondered if this was part of a larger pattern.
