- This July 1, 1982, article by Leslie M. Allen of the Greensboro Daily News reports that the Greensboro chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and two church organizations had joined the Greensboro Justice Fund in its call for federal charges against Ku Klux Klan members involved in the murder of five Communist Workers Party members at the Death to the Klan march in Greensboro on November 3, 1979. The groups stated that they would monitor the ongoing grand jury investigation but had no other specific plans.
