- Description:
- This May 6, 1981, article by Mark McDonald from The Greensboro Record reports that the Justice Department has requested that he withhold his recommendation as to whether federal charges should be filed in the pending case regarding the murder of five Communist Workers Party members at the Death to the Klan march in Greensboro on November 3, 1979. Michaux was reportedly considering indictments against six Ku Klux Klan members who had been acquitted of murder charges in the case. According the the article, the Justice Department was considering a more thorough investigation but was not certain if the government would authorize it.
