- Description:
- This February 23, 1968, article from The Carolinian, the student newspaper of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) discusses a UNCG program requiring landlords to sign a nondiscrimination agreement before being listed as university-approved housing. The requirement was imposed by the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. Only twelve of 130 agreements had been returned, but there was some speculation that the fact that the agreements were sent out mid-term might have been a factor. Other North Carolina universities had had minimal problems over the requirement.
