- Description:
- The 1955 Guilford College yearbook, The Quaker, features international students and most notably, the achievements of senior Janice Louise Corneilson, an American Indian student from New York and likely the younger sister of Eleanor Corneilson (class of 1950). While identification of students of color is more racially sensitive, there is also a statement near the front of the book stating, "The South shall rise again..."
