- Records collected by the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission between May 1956 and February 1957 relating to employment with the Commission. The file contains handwritten letters from several individuals seeking employment with the commission. It also contains a letter of resignation from an employee. Also in the file is a newspaper article about African American judge Wade H. McCree, Jr. of the 3rd Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan, who accused President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the White House of uncertain policies and indeterminate leadership on school segregation and blamed it in part for the stubborn stand of some of the southern leaders.
