- Records collected by the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission on the October 1962 court-ordered integration of the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss. The file contains a letter from Jackson, Mississippi, attorney Tom Watkins about the situation in Jackson before the riot in Oxford at the university, an article published in the Memphis, Tennessee Commercial Appeal about the riot, and text about the situation in Oxford, including a proclamation made by Mississippi Governor Ross Barnett.
