- March 28, 1966, arraignment in Hattiesburg (Miss.) before U.S. Commissioner Jack Pittman of 12 Jones County (Miss.) men charged by the FBI with violation of the 1965 Voting Rights Act in the firebombing of Vernon Dahmer's house and store January 10, 1966, which resulted in his death.
