On postcard verso: This proud statue stands in a park across from the 16th Street Baptist Church where four little African American girls attending Sunday School were killed by a Ku Klux Klan-related bombing of the church in 1963. The bombing occurred within three weeks after Dr. King's passionate plea for interracial love and justice in his historic "I Have a Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. - Metadata URL:
