- During the Democratic National Convention, Mr. Mednick worked as an accountant at Arthur Andersen and served in the United State Air Force Reserve. In his military position, he worked at O'Hare International Airport during the convention on a unit that transported United States Army troops into and out of the airport. These troops were stationed there in the event they were needed to quell some kind of uprising in Chicago during the convention. They were never used.
