- Mr. Keefe was a college student at Loyola University Chicago's Loop campus during the Democratic National Convention. He was also an Oak Park, Illinois resident then. Although he wanted to attend the convention, his mother would not let him. Therefore, he watched the convention and riots on television in his mother's home. While he was somewhat supportive of the Democratic Party before the convention, by convention's end, he rejected the party and protestors. He then favored Mayor Richard J. Daley and law enforcement.
