- Abdul Basith Basheer was born in Downers Grove , Illinois in 1994. He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and helped lead the local chapter of the Muslim Student Association (MSA). As president of the organization, he pursued closer ties with the wider campus community. Since then, Basheer has traced the history of the MSA to document the past.
