- Erku Yimer was a co-founder of the Ethiopian Community Association of Chicago. Born in Ethiopia, Dr. Yimer came to the United States in 1975. After attending the University of Chicago, Dr. Yimer helped build the Ethiopian Community Association of Chicago, which primarily assists refugees with their resettlement.
