- This audio recording features a conversation between Albert Bethune, Jr. and President Dr. Reed. Albert Bethune, Jr. reflects on Founder's Day and experiences with being the finance personnel, and encourages Dr. Reed to take further steps on redirecting the community back to Bethune-Cookman College. Dr. Reed shares her established intiatives such as reading programs, fundraisers, town hall meetings, ThinkTanks, and other ideas to build community and address social issues. Albert Bethune Jr. shares with Dr. Reed methods that Dr. Mary McLeod used to engage the community and makes suggestions on how to stregthen the campus and community such as implementing whole-school retirement celebrations, faculty and staff recognition ceremonies, and Easter Monday picnics.
