- This audio recording features the luncheon portion of a four day interview between Cathy Kershaw, Janice Walton, and Albert Bethune, Jr., Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune's grandson, Bethune-Cookman College's archivist, and the founder of the Bethune-Cookman College Gospel Choir. Attendees include Janice Walton, Yvonne Boseman, Daytona Beach's first black mayor, Jackie Macon Bethune, family members of Mary McLeod Bethune, graduates of Bethune-Cookman College, and the program director, Cathy Kershaw. This audio recording opens with an introduction of attendees, followed by interviews about participants' relationships with Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. Albert Bethune, Jr. shares the true history of Albert Bethune, Sr., Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, Bethune-Cookman College. Mr. Bethune also speaks about his careers, the Mary McLeod Bethune Legacy Continuation Foundation, black leadership. Some audio is low.
