- This audio recording features footage from a four day interview between Cathy Kershaw and Albert Bethune, Jr., Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune's grandson, Bethune-Cookman College's archivist, and the founder of the Bethune-Cookman College Gospel Choir. Albert Bethune, Jr. opens the interview by sharing his perceptions of civil rights and Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune's involvment in the civil rights movement. At 00:16:40, Albert Bethune, Jr. speaks about the Bethune family tree. At 00:31:52, a man speaks about meeting Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, attending Bethune-Cookman high school and college, and directing his life. Cathy Kershaw and Janice Walton continue to interview others regarding their experiences with knowing Dr. Mary McLeod Bethund. Audio has a lot white noise.
