- Description:
- This is an audio recording of the beginning of the Tuesday Community Worship Service during the 48th Annual Garnett-Nabrit Lecture Series at American Baptist College. There is music and singing from the opening of the audio until 6:59. An unknown male speaker then lays out the order of events for the service: Minister Melvin Von Wade will complete an introduction, then there will be a Hymn of Preparation, and then the sermon will take place. Following this speaker, an unknown female voice introduces the pastor from 7:36 - 8:00. The speaker for the morning would have been Rev. Dr. Melvin Von Wade, Sr. He is the President of the Missionary Baptist Convention of America and the Pastor of Mount Moriah Baptist Church. The audio ends before the Reverend begins speaking; however, there is tinkering music that can be heard around 8:29.
