- Description:
- This is a video recording from an American Baptist College Musical during the 24th Annual Garnett-Nabrit Lecture Series. The video opens with Reverend Samuel Hale, a professor when this was recorded, introducing the event as the Pre-Lecture Musical. He introduces the choir as the Choir of the American Baptist College of the American Baptist Theological Seminary, and the choir director as Mrs. Angelique Coleman. At 1:08:45, the performance from the choir ends and Mrs. Coleman gives thanks to those who helped make the event a success. At 1:12:37, one of the choir members thanks Mrs. Coleman on behalf of the choir. President Odell McGlothian, the President of American Baptist College from 1980-1992, speaks and closes out the musical at 1:13:13. There appears to be a time jump to another event at 1:14:53. There, an unknown male professor gives a lecture; he begins by restating all he has discussed in his previous lectures. He then gives the topic of this lecture, which is the relationship between the kingdoms of this world and the kingdom of God. The video ends at the end of his lecture.
