- The program for the First Garnett-Nabrit Lectures (GNL) and Thirty-Fourth Annual Founders' Day. The Garnett-Nabrit Lectures (GNL) series, which started in 1958, is an annual minister's institute, honoring the legacies of J.M. Nabrit, the fourth president of American Baptist College and J.H. Garnett, a former dean of American Baptist College. Every year, religious leaders and scholars gather to address issues regarding religious leadership and service. This GNL features speakers: Rev. J. Royster Powell, Dr. William J. Harvey III, Clyde T. Francisco, Th.D, Henlee Hulix Barnette, Th.D, and Dr. William Kendrick Grobel.
