Gwen Jackson, a community activist with a Milwaukee elementary school named in her honor, served in the 1960's as Chair of the Milwaukee Urban League Family Life Committee. Her interview topics include the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Milwaukee Urban League's role in Milwaukee education reform, a critique of Father Groppi's leadership of Milwaukee youth, and Lloyd Barbee's role as a lawyer in the struggle for equality in Milwaukee. - Metadata URL:
