Paul discusses his childhood and early interest in politics growing up in segregated Birmingham, Alabama. He also gives an overview of his work as Georgia Chair of the Republican Party, Georgia senator, and city councilman in Stone Mountain and Sandy Springs. Other topics include the decision to change the Georgia state flag and the rise of the Republican Party.
Rusty Paul grew up the Birmingham, Alabama, area during the 1950s and 60s. He has worked in journalism as a newspaper and radio reporter, chaired the Republican Party in Georgia, served as a city councilman in Stone Mountain and Sandy Springs, and served as a state senator in the Georgia General Assembly.
