- Description:
- Family traveling with wagon of supplies. Text on reverse: "Giant Corporative farms in recent years have literally 'tractored off the land' thousands of small farmers, with Negroes suffering most. Scenes such as this, immortalized in John Steinbeck's 'Grapes of Wrath,' have by no means disappeared from the land." Stetson Kennedy (1916-2011), writer and civil rights activist, collected these photographs during the course of his career fighting for equality throughout the Southern United States.
