The Columbians were a white separatist organization formed in Atlanta, Georgia, from 1946-1947, often seen as a rival organization to the Ku Klux Klan. Stetson Kennedy (1916-2011), writer and civil rights activist, collected these photographs during the course of his career fighting for equality throughout the Southern United States.
