- Recording of the dedication ceremony for the 714 West Johnson Street building for the AFL CIO in North Carolina. In this recording, Senator Hubert H. Humphrey, former Vice President of the United States gives two speeches honoring the dedication of the new building for the labor union. In his dedication, he announces his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election and discusses his history in politics and relationship to the labor movement in Minnesota and North Carolina as well as the general progress of the labor movement in the United States. Wilbur Hobby and other union leaders give introduction speeches for Humphrey and for the dedication event.
