Dora McDonald (1925-2007) was the personal secretary to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from 1960 until his death in 1968. She had previously worked as the secretary to Morehouse College President Dr. Benjamin E. Mays in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Prior to working for King, McDonald was a secretary at Mutual Federal Savings and Loan on Auburn Avenue. From 1972 to 1977, she was an administrative assistant to United States Representative Andrew Young. - Local Identifier:
