John Wesley Dean III (1938- ) is an attorney and served as White House Counsel to President Richard Nixon from 1970 to 1973. Dean was involved in the events surrounding the Watergate burglaries and the subsequent cover-up. As a result, he was convicted of multiple felonies and was disbarred as a lawyer, but became a key witness for the prosecution in the case.
