Description:: "Commanders Digest" issue, vol. 13, no. 11, Jan. 18, 1973 from the Department of Defense. This was a special issue of the Defense Race Relations Institute describing a seven week training program to prepare the volunteer participants from the military to be qualified race relations instructors. Part of the program included a workshop, the Miami Inner-City Minority Experience, developed by Bob Simms and his company, Robert H. Simms & Associates, which involved a trip to Miami to visit various ethnic areas. The issue includes photographs of some of the participants and one of Bob Simms, and a sample examination entitled "What Do You Know About Minority Groups?"
