- St. Augustine Four have hearing before Judge Charles Mathis. Mathis instructs local law enforcement officials to remove all demonstrators under seventeen off of the picket lines due to increasing violence and tension. Report also relates long phone call between Robert Hayling and FBI agent in which agent claims Hayling threatened armed self defense among local NAACP youth. Agent also claims Hayling suggested a plan to entrap local FBI agents with false information.
