- Three African Americans attempted to enter a public pavilion at a municipal beach in Clearwater Beach, FL were turned away and followed by a crowd of white people until police arrived and a white man was arrested. The beach in Lake Wales, FL was closed for two days when a fight occurred between a white man and a black man. Picketing of McCrory's and Woolworth's continued in St. Augustine with no incidents.
