- The Clifford Baldowski cartoon depicts Herman Talmadge knocking on the front door of a house. Through the window, next to the door, peer the faces of an African American man and woman. Next to Herman are three men labeled "Billy McKinney," "Q.V. Williamson," and "Dr. Borders." These men wear buttons or hold signs titled "More Talmadge" or "Talmadge again." Behind these men is a crowd of people wearing Ku Klux Klan regalia and under the hoods are false happy faces.
