- The Clifford Baldowski cartoon depicts a prison yard scene. The prisoners are selling each other drugs, alcohol, cots and parlay cards. They are also gambling. One man is walking through carrying a sandwich board that reads "Protection for sale cheap," while a man is lying on the ground with a knife in his chest. The inmates say "I can get it for you wholesale!," "The food is lousy, but th' drinks are good!," "Tell'ya what I'm gonna do-- ," "Fer a couple of bucks more you get this fine delux model!," "For a measly few bucks you can get off th' latrine-detail!," "What'cha got to lose?," and "--extra dry!"
