- The Clifford Baldowski cartoon depicts a large picture of Cary Middlecoff swinging a golf club. The text reads, "Second leading money winner for the year and the man to watch in the MASTERS, comes back to Augusta LOADED with reasons why." A smaller picture shows Middlecoff holding a large gold bag with clubs labeled "Rio Grande Valley Open," "-Winner-Jacksonville Open," "Runner-up St. Petersburg Open," "Miami Four Ball," and "Runner-up Houston Invitation." Another small picture shows a man holding up Middlecoff's arm and saying "Our Boy."
