- A woman stands on the front porch of a home in Rochester, New York as water from a fire hose is aimed at the occupants on the porch. Caption on photo reads: (RU 20) ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 26 -- WATER COOLED BUT CLUBS WERE NEEDED -- A stream of water from fire hoses tears into porch in Negro section of Rochester today as authorities attempt to apprehend a group of Negroes. The water had no effect and police charged the porch to subdue the agitators. Woman stands alone here as her companions seek shelter behind porch's wall.
