- This video features a rally facilitated by Rose Sanders (now known as Faya Ora Rose Toure) in honor of Bloody Sunday at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church in Selma, Alabama. This video opens with Hosea Williams sharing his experiences during the Selma to Montgomery March, followed by Reverend James Bevel who emphasizes the importance of forgiveness and continuing the civil rights movement through commitment, non-violence, and prayer. Jesse Jackson, U.S. Representative Cynthia McKinney, Dorothy Cotton, Earl T. Shinhoster, and other civil rights and labor union representatives encourage the audience to continue to fight for civil rights and freedom. This video concludes with remarks by Evelyn G. Lowery and Coretta Scott King regarding the continuation of celebrating the civil rights movement, civil rights workers, and the increase of Black elected officials and a march.
