- Description:
- This video features footage from an event in which Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) staff members meet and speak with students. In this video, E. Randel T. Osburn, Claudette Matthews and other SCLC staffers speak about the negative influence of rap music and media and how it degrades women, youth, and Black people and decreases moral values and self-respect in society. In their conversation, SCLC staff encourage youth participants to be careful of the music they listen to because it is reprogramming youth and Black communities to think and act with little self-respect and care.
