- This video features footage from an event in which Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) staff members meet and speak with students. In this video, SCLC staff speak with young adults about the importance of youth being involved in the civil rights movement and SCLC. SCLC national membership coordinator Claudette Matthews speaks about the impact that youth and women had in the civil rights movement followed by an unidentified SCLC staffer who shares his experience of demonstrating and non-violently fighting for justice during the civil rights movement. The video concludes with SCLC staff member E. Randel T. Osburn sharing the importance of communication through telephones and switchboards during the civil rights movement.
