- This audio recording features an interview with Reverend Charles Kenzie Steele, the first Vice President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), conducted by SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. members as part of their Heritage Task Force. In the interview, Steele responds to questions about SCLC, Martin Luther King, Jr., poverty in the United States, being arrested and going to prison, his ministerial career, and the Christian underpinnings of the civil rights movement.
