- This video features proceedings from the 32nd Annual Southern Christian Leadership Conference Convention, centered on the theme "Rebirth of Hope... In The Struggle", on August 16, 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia. This video includes a youth oratorical contest in which high school students compete for a college scholarship by preparing and reciting speeches. This video features nine teenage orators who speak about topics such as youth education, teenage pregnancy, generational values, drug abuse, and other economic issues to encourage youth to use their leadership to persevere through challenges.
