- This video features proceedings from the SCLC/WOMEN Luncheon during the 39th Annual Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) Convention on August 13, 1996 in Detroit, Michigan. This video begins with a welcome from Evelyn G. Lowery, in which she speaks about women empowerment, getting out the vote, and unity.
