- Description:
- This video features footage of various scheduled events that are part of the SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Civil Rights Heritage Tour on March 3-4, 2007. The video opens with a continuation of the talent show. Footage then switches to tour attendees at the memorial marker for Earl Shinhoster along the highway at the Tuskegee city limit, where Tuskegee Mayor Johnny Ford offers words of welcome. The video then shows the tour group at Rosa Parks monument on Alabama State University's campus. Tour attendees are then shown at the Southern Poverty Law Center's Civil Rights Memorial Center. The tour group also is shown holding a commemoration service at the Viola Liuzzo memorial monument. The video concludes with the group touring a museum and Evelyn G. Lowery speaking next to The Civil Rights Freedom Wall marker at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church.
