- This video features proceedings from the 35th Annual Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) Convention in Dayton, Ohio. The video consists of a youth empowerment session at which children share stories about the civil rights movement and perform songs. As part of the event, Dick Gregory provides remarks on the future of Black youth in America and a panel discussion featuring individuals who work with youth in their communities and several students share stories of their educational journeys. The recording switches at 01:05:06 to candid footage of meeting attendees marching in Dayton, Ohio. The recording switches again at 01:06:59 to the cultural nite event, which includes singing, dancing, and other musical performances.
