- This audio recording features proceedings from the 28th Annual Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) Convention in Montgomery, Alabama. Specifically, this recording features SCLC President Joseph E. Lowery's address to the convention. In his speech, Lowery observes the progress made in the civil rights movement but notes "everything has changed but nothing has changed". He frames much of his speech around the topics of jobs, peace, and freedom. In closing, Lowery calls for the Black community to return home to one another and stand united.
