- This audio recording features a church service at Hunter Hill First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The service proceedings include songs and after a brief pause in audio, at 00:24:17 an unidentified speaker begins his introduction of Joseph E. Lowery as the guest speaker. Before his sermon, the congregants sing the hymn "I Will Trust In The Lord". At 00:32:23, Lowery begins his sermon "Boys To Men", a sermon title which he drew from the singing group of the same name. Lowery explores the issue of how in society as a whole, we have put "things" before God. He speaks about the challenge of African American men identifying as men rather than boys, a challenge Lowery notes is entrenched in racism. Audio note: Low volume level and audible clicking noise throughout recording playback.
