- This audio recording features a Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) mass rally in Greene County, Alabama in which Andrew Young and others speak. The recording opens with Greene County Sheriff Thomas Gilmore introducing Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young. Young speaks about the importance of voting rights, remarking on his memories of the Selma to Montgomery March in 1965. He continues his remarks, stating that the current Carrollton to Montgomery March is a bellwether march to bring change to the United States. Following Young's speech, other speakers (including Evelyn G. Lowery) in the program talk about the importance of organizing and joining the march to fight for the extension of the Voting Rights Act.
