- This video features remarks about Earl Shinhoster by Joseph E. Lowery as he stands in front of Central United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Lowery honors Earl Shinhoster by speaking about memories of Shinhoster and his contributions to the civil rights movement. Lowery calls Earl Shinhoster one of the "chief architects of a voter registration plan" and recalls him as a "shoulder to lean on, prayer fellow to pray with, one to shout with..., a treasure in America".
