- This video features an event commemorating the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. held by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) Tallahassee, Florida Chapter to stop the killing and end the violence. This event begins with Reverend Fred Taylor leading a group of children in singing and dancing. E. Randel T. Osburn then facilitates a conversation with panelists, children, and adults about solutions for violence, drugs, and negative community influences. Panelists R.N. Gooden, Mable Thomas, Inez Johnson, and others share stories of recent local and nationwide suicide and killing incidents to help prevent violence, pay tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., and promote conflict resolution. At 01:30:50, there is footage of a public service announcement from SCLC President Joseph E. Lowery calling for people to join civil rights activists at the Ohio State House in Columbus, Ohio to fight against racism and lynchings. At 01:33:05, footage of SCLC's Gun Buy-Back Program begins.
