- Description:
- This video features footage of various scheduled events that are part of the SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Civil Rights Heritage Tour on March 4, 2001. The video opens with the tour group at Jimmie Lee Jackson's grave site, proceeds to a visit at the National Voting Rights Museum and Institute and the Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church. The video includes footage of tour attendees marching through the streets of Selma, Alabama and a gathering at the Civil Rights Memorial Park at which Reverend Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson speak. Hosea Williams is remembered by the group at the memorial park by his family and friends. The video also includes a visit to the memorial for Viola Liuzzo, a gathering in a church, and footage of people speaking on the bus interspersed throughout.
