- This video features the 16th Annual SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Oratorical Contest in which student orators give speeches around the theme of voting rights to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The video also includes attendees singing "We Shall Overcome" and gospel songs and closes with announcements of the contest's winners (this part of the recording is distorted by a buzz). Audio note: A buzz distorts the audio beginning at 01:39:12 and lasting to 02:00:30. Audio is restored for the remainder of the video.
